POINT BREEZE KINGDOM – LATE MORNING
How to Cope with Stress?
Servant H is stretching herself so good while servant Y lays on the couch.
What’s up, Y? It’s weekend. Why’s the tired face?
I’ve been working so hard I almost forgot how to take a rest. I feel sluggish all the time lately.
Sure, you’ve been working so hard. You are totally worn out. Why don’t you take a walk?
Well, I’d love to, but I’ve no energy to get up and go for a walk. I can’t sleep well at night, lose focus easily and tend to feel down more often.
Oh, la la! You can’t relax. You should have to resort extremes. You wanna feel relaxed and energized, right?
Yes, but what’s the last resort?
You wait here.
Servant H left the living room for a few minutes.
Then she came back holding something in her arms.
This is the magic bullet.
… It is our king giving us a reproachful look because you woke him up while he was taking a nap.
Thanks for the explanation. Yes, it is our king what I call magic bullet. Did you know that cat can have a tremendous effect on your serotonin level?
Increase our happiness and boost our energy?
Johnny still giving a grumpy look saying
Why don’t you give Y reasons why I devote so much to his well-being, H?
What Is Serotonin and Its Functions
I feel depressed more than often when I am so tired. Not much exercise, and not much exposure to morning sunlight.
Yeah, I’ll tell you its functions and why our king plays a big roll in this picture.
Serotonin is an important chemical neurotransmitter in the human body which function is regarded for maintaining mood balance. Serotonin is produced in the brain and most of it is manufactured in the gastrointestinal tract. It’s said serotonin control mood and social behavior, appetite and digestion, sleep, sexual desires and function. Low serotonin level indicates depression.
What Boosts Serotonin
There are many ways you can boost your serotonin level by yourself.
I’m all ears.
Ok. You need to take a various approach to this condition. Major ones are to chew well what you eat. Especially like the food which produce tryptophan. It’s said meat, fish, soy products, milk products produce a lot of tryptophan and doing so keep your gut healthy. Also you want to have a daily exercise habit…
Hmm, sounds very general. There’s nothing rocket science about having a good health.
Exactly. But this must be the most important thing… to have morning sunlight!
Why sunlight? Why morning?
It’s said sunlight during the day is too strong, but first few hours after the sunrise, sunlight is still mild and its light stimulates producing serotonin.
And why our king plays a big role in here?
Oh, Yes! Touching and cuddling him produce serotonin as well!
Wow! He is like the sun itself!
Didn’t know you were awake.
I can say I was awake all during the time while I was well asleep.
It’s his usual riddle.
Literally, you need the sun to survive. The sun lets you be alive.
Now you know why he is this healthy and content most of the time? He absorbs sunlight really well all during the day. He follows where the sunlight goes.
Ah, right! He knows the warmest and the most comfortable spot in the kingdom without fail. You follow the sunlight, you find our king.
Sure. We might get sunlight energy through our king…
Mmm, you get the point.
Stress is something everybody feels in everyday life which is necessary to a certain level.
But once it exceeds the healthy level and starts to
eat you, you might be diagnosed with serotonin deficiency.
Ways to improve its production like taking a walk under the morning sunlight and watching what you eat.
But even without going out, you can receive favors significantly by taking care of your cat. Just grooming, touching and caring them greatly benefit you in return. This is another
Win-win between cats and humans.
