POINT BREEZE KINGDOM – LATE MORNING
Doorbell ranged and servant H opened the door.
Thank you. Have a good one!
Said she closed the door, bringing something back to the living room.
Johnny ran down from upstairs.
What was that, H?
I’ve ordered some books, your majesty.
What kind of books?
You have an excellent attitude!
I appreciate your words, your majesty.
Servant H starts collapsing a box while saying that.
Johnny jumped on H’s arms trying to stop what H’s doing.
You are destroying our valuable territory! Put it back!
Servant H was amazed.
Johnny jumped in a relatively small box and spun around a bit, then settled.
Johnny raised his face up to H saying,
These boxes are my insulator, so to speak. We cats are hunters, we need a hiding place when we are on the hunting venture. Like caves and bushes in nature. Also, it keeps you nice and warm.
I see. So as many as boxes we possess, you feel happier?
Exactly. It adds undulating quality to this kingdom as well when we have bigger and taller boxes.
Hmm, they are like hill and valley to you?
That’s a good way to put it! Yes! We curious creature is always on the exploring venture and these boxes give us a lot of opportunities to stimulate our senses. So don’t even think you throw them away before I run a close examination. You got it, H?
I understand, your majesty. If I were you, I would love to look into each box and examine, too. Boxes… Oh, now I remember I used to hide and play in a box as well when I was a little girl!
Join the club!
You may have had a same kind of experience, playing with and in a box. There’s a research that why cat loves boxes because it gives them a sense of security, and reduces his stress level.
They are hunters, but not fighters. They tend to avoid any “unnecessary stuff”, which is very smart. Boxes can come in very handy for this. Cats get inside the box and shut the world off behind.
We guess every human needs his own “box” as well. Looks like boxes are no option, but necessary for them. It can come in with shopping bags, even shoes, anything makes a confined place for them.
Let a cat tell why he loves a box, he may say “I get in a box, because there is a box”.
